Dive Package

There are many diving spots, which Papua New Guinea can offer to dive enthusiasts, and we have put together a diving package for you. This is just a sample and can be adjusted to meet your diving requirements. It’s a 12 day / 11 night diving package featuring two out of the many chief dive sites in Papua New Guinea. That is Milne Bay Province and Walindi, West New Britain Province. So, come and experience our underworld now. This program is intended to start on a Friday arrival and Tuesday departure weekly.

Day 1 (---): TBA / Port Moresby / Gurney, Alotau, Milne Bay Province Arrive Port Moresby ex-international flight (to be advised), meet, greet and transfer to your onwards-afternoon Air Niugini flight to Milne Bay Province. At the southeastern peninsula of the Papua New Guinea mainland lays Milne Bay Province – 16,000km² of mountainous coastal land, and gateway to more than 600 islands. Ranging from its immense pristine underwater ecosystem, tiny atolls, coral reefs, volcanic islands, swaying coconut and oil palms and white sandy beaches give this part of PNG a unique haven to visit. Home to 200,000 people, Milne Bay Province is also the melting pot of many mainland and island cultures. Alotau, the capital, is a peaceful town where all visitors receive a warm welcome from the friendly local people. Arrive Gurney airport and transfer to your resort. Overnight: Tawali Dive Resort.

Day 2, Day 3 and Day 4 (BLD): Milne Bay Province Spend the next 4 days exploring the pristine marine filled waters of Magical Milne Bay Province. For the next few days the Tawali Dive Resort will take you to experience for yourself this beautiful marine ecosystem and unique marine biodiversity.

Day 5 (BLD): Milne Bay Province / Port Moresby Morning at leisure, after lunch transfer to Gurney airport for your Air Niugini flight to Port Moresby, upon arrival you will be transferred your hotel. Gateway Hotel.

Day 6 (-LD): Port Moresby / Hoskins, West New Britain Transfer hotel to the Jackson’s airport for your Air Niugini flight to Hoskins, West New Britain Province. Mountain ranges that top 14,000 feet divide the main island. The deeper valleys remained isolated until early this century; the land you fly over is occupied by people who have 700 different languages and cultures that are just as diverse. Upon arrival you will be transferred to Walindi, located on the North Coast of New Britain Province. Voted as the best diving Resort anywhere in the world by reader surveys, the staff and hospitality at Walindi will ensure your stay is memorable. The coral reefs around Walindi are extraordinarily rich. Over 400 species of reef building corals have been recorded in Kimbe Bay. This is more than half the total number of known coral species in the world. Over 900 species of fish have been recorded and this number will continue to grow as more research is encountered. Overnight: Walindi Plantation Resort.

Day 7, Day 8 and Day 9 (BLD): Walindi, West New Britain. 2 tank dive each day for the next three days, diving the famous underwater of East New Britain provided by Walindi dive experts.

Day 10 (BLD): Walindi, West New Britain Full day at leisure allowing ample time to explore the surrounds of East New Britain Province including oil palm plantations, factory etc, Kimbe town, villages etc. See the reception for these optional activities at extra cost

Day 11 (BLD): Hoskins, West New Britain / Port Moresby - Loloata Transfer from resort to Hoskins airport for your Air Niugini flight back to Port Moresby. Upon arrival in Jackson airport you will be met and transferred to Bootless Bay, Arrive Bootless Bay and ferry ride to Loloata Island. Dinner and Overnight: LOLOATA ISLAND RESORT.

Day 12 (B--): Loloata – Port Moresby / Depart PNG Ferry transfer back to Bootless Bay, Arrive and transfer Bootless Bay to airport for outgoing international departure flight.

Land cost based in USD.

If the numbers increase we will review costs downwards. 1 pax: @ US$4,169.00 per person on twin share basis.

Single Supplement: US$680.00 per single occupancy.

Land Cost Includes:
Accommodation on twin share basis, meals as indicated as B = Breakfast, L = Lunch, D = Dinner, schedule and 2 tank diving, airport transfers and government tax.

Land cost Excludes:
Any other meals than those specified, international and domestic Air Niugini (PX) flights, international departure tax, visa fees, beverage, laundry, phone/fax bills, and other services of personal nature etc.

We have decided not to include meals through out, as it would be cheaper if meals were purchased direct on consumption basis. Most of the facilities in the program such as Tufi Dive Resort, Walindi Plantation Resort and Loloata Island Resort have meals already included in their accommodation tariffs. Walindi Plantation Resort has laundry services included in its package.

Air Arrangements: We suggest you book and ticket the domestic Air Niugini (PX) flights mentioned below together with your international flights and take advantage of discounts available when ticketed overseas. COMMISSION LEVEL ON LAND CONTENT: We offer 20% commission on land content to wholesalers and 10% to Retail Travel Agents. This only applies to the land content of the program, as we do not get good discounts on air if tickets are purchased within the country.

The dive program can be easily extended to the highlands to include some cultural or coincide with some cultural events if the clients were interested.
